PREVYOU should be a place where everyone feels safe and comfortable. Awareness for us means looking out for each other, respecting boundaries, and taking responsibility for one another. If you or someone else feels unwell, or you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour, you can always contact our awareness team or any other team member. You don't have to be directly affected to speak up. Get support by approaching our awareness team or any team member — we will help you. The awareness team can be recognized by a pink “A” on their T‑shirt. There is also a quiet room available as a retreat.
PREVYOU is an open, respectful and discrimination-aware space. We want everyone to feel welcome, respected and safe. Therefore we do not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, (sexualized) violence or boundary-crossing behaviour — including racist, queer-phobic, sexist, ableist or antisemitic remarks. We expect respectful conduct from everyone at the festival. If these values are violated, we take it seriously and reserve the right to exclude persons from the festival.
Some films contain topics that may be distressing or triggering. These are marked in the programme with a “T” (trigger warning). We recommend respecting your own limits and taking breaks if needed. Our awareness team is available at any time if you need support.
We aim to make PREVYOU as accessible as possible. All public areas are wheelchair accessible. People with disabilities and their companions receive free admission. All films are subtitled in English. Our team can assist with individual needs on site. If you need support in advance, contact us: info@prevyou.de While we strive to reduce barriers, we cannot currently meet all needs fully. Please send feedback if you have suggestions.
Doors open at least one hour before the event. Use the time to buy a drink at our PREVYOU shop. Hall admission starts approx. 15 minutes before the film block. To avoid disturbing the films, re-entry is only possible between films.
We take place at the Kulturzentrum Peter Edel in Weißensee. The address is Berliner Allee 125, 13088 Berlin.
